Planning Permission will usually be required if you alter your home by extending, converting your loft, change of use or divide part of your house for use as a separate dwelling.

Planning considers what impact the proposal will have on the dwelling and surrounding area. The Local Authority publish a set of guidelines which can be obtained at the Local Planning Department.

Other permissions are sometimes required such as Listed Building Consent, Conservation Area Consent, Party Wall Agreements and Tree Preservation Orders.

All relevant applications for planning will be dealt with on your behalf and will take approximately 8 weeks from the submission date to obtaining the Planning Permission from the Local Authority.
